Reddit Apex Weapon Dmg: A Comprehensive Guide to the Best Guns in Season 16

Just to be absolutely clear, this is a tier-ranking of weapons in Warzone 2.0, not in Modern Warfare 2. We do have a tier-ranking of all weapons in MW2's multiplayer, if you're interested, but that list is quite different to this one. In Warzone we need weapons to have better range, lower recoil, and higher-capacity mags than in the standard 6v6 experience, generally speaking.

We haven't included secondary weapons because in Warzone 2 getting full loadouts is far rarer, and more commonly players will just be buying individual primary weapons anyway. Also, our tier-ranking is based on how these weapons will perform for a mid-skilled player. Higher-skilled players can get away with using less forgiving weapons, which might have a more impressive TTK, and lower-skilled players will need to restrict themselves to weapons with particularly low-recoil. But this list is based on how good these weapons will be in the hands of the "average" Warzone 2 player.

Note: The Warzone 2 stats API is currently available, so we can't provide you with win rate or k/d ratio stats for these weapons. This list is currently therefore based on our opinion of the weapons after testing. We will update the list accordingly when we have the full data.

This is the best of the best, these are the "meta" weapons. Ideally, all 10 of your custom class slots will be occupied by a primary weapon from this category. And if you're only interested in the absolute meta weapons and not the complete tier-ranking, we do actually have a smaller article that's focused on the hard-meta in Warzone 2 right here.

The 74u absolutely slaps in standard multiplayer, and might be the best 6v6 weapon that exists in MW2. But it's also fantastic in Warzone, as a support weapon to long-range options like the RPK. Think of it like the best AR/SMG hybrid.

The Fennec isn't the most mobile SMG, but thanks to a ridiculous rate-of-fire it has the most impressive TTK in the SMG class. You're capped at 45 rounds, which is a pain, but for close-range 1 on 1s this is probably the best weapon in the game.

All of these guns are solidly viable, and you shouldn't feel like you need to change them for S-Tier weapons if you enjoy them. They're slightly worse than the S-Tier weapons, of course, but they will beat pretty much all ground loot and the vast majority of other weapons in Warzone 2.0.

The Chimera is an excellent sniper support, and it works well with the heavy LMGs as well. This is because it occupies that sweet-spot between ARs and SMGs, and we could see it rising even higher on the list if other weapons are nerfed in a future update (the Kastov 74u in particular is a direct rival).

These weapons are right on the borderline of viable. They can compete with most of the ground loot, and they'll beat the C and D tier weapons, but you shouldn't use these in any of your 10 custom class slots.

The FTAC is really not great, and we contemplated with moving it down to C-Tier, but when you put it in full-auto and use it like a weird mid-range AR, you can shred through triple plate in milliseconds. The lower-capacity mags make it a risky weapon to use, however.

And there you have it folks, our complete tier-ranking of all the guns in Warzone 2.0. Please let us know in the comments if there are any low-tier weapons that you think the community are sleeping on. Just put the weapon and the attachments needed below, and we'll test the build.

Do you agree with most of the ratings? Or, do you think we were too harsh? Oh, and if you still need to get the S-Tier weapons levelled, here's a guide on the fastest way to level (spoiler alert, you will need to buy a copy of MW2).

Firstly, the energy SMG weapon the Volt will be placed into the care package, and the Alternator is back on the ground. The Volt will be getting a +2 damage buff along with a bigger clip, and the rest of the care package will stay the same.

Unlike previous seasons, Respawn made simple changes to the weapons in Season 15. Respawn finally brought Mastiff out of the Supply Drop and nerfed it a little. A buffed version of RE-45 will be replacing the Mastiff in the Care Package.

To rate different tiers of weapons in Apex, we first look at their raw damage output and ease of handling for players of all skill levels. Also, keep in mind that weapons that are exclusive to the care packages will always be powerful compared to other weapons. Unsurprisingly, those will be rated as S-Tier weapons.

Keep in mind that this list is only for the current meta. This list will change with time as new weapons are added to the game in the future. As with any other tier list, this one is extremely subjective.

Kraber received a slight nerf to its damage output in Season 13. However, it is still the most powerful Sniper in Apex. Therefore, it is only available via the care package drop. One headshot from Kraber will knock players immediately unless you have a Red Shield and a Purple Helmet. And that also includes characters with fortification perks like Gibraltar. As a result, it is still an easy candidate for an S-tier weapon.

Bocek bow was introduced to the game back in the Legacy update. It comes with two different hop-ups, one for close-quarter encounters and another for medium to long-range encounters. The accuracy, paired with these hop-ups and pure damage output, made this weapon an instant hit among Apex players of all skill buckets.

In the initial launch of Bocek Bow, it was a really powerful and annoying weapon. You can continuously shoot with it and deal massive damage. With Bocek Bow being a Care Package weapon, it surely is one hell of a weapon in Season 15.

Rampage can deal massive damage with decent tracking despite its slow firing rate. However, this LMG becomes a nightmare to deal with if a thermite grenade is installed as it increases the firing rate. Following massive player feedback, Respawn decided to nerf it to make this weapon fall in line with other LMGs in Season 13.

As it is currently a Care Package weapon in Season 15, the Rampage is in a buffed state. The weapon also comes with a charged Thermite Grenade. So you can use it to break doors or deal heavy damage to your enemies. With huge damage-dealing capacity and increased fire rate, the Rampage is easily an S-Tier weapon in Season 15.

Although many players may argue otherwise, RE-45 is an S-Tier weapon in our list. The reason is that it is now a Care Package weapon in Season 15. So, naturally, Respawn buffed the hell out of RE-45 and put it into the Supple Crate.

G7 Scout came out of the Care Package in Season 14. However, Respawn made Double Tap Trigger an available attachment this Season. Unsurprisingly, both of these small buffs have combined and made this weapon as good as it was back in season 2.

Furthermore, this weapon also has a secondary fire mode that can be charged to deal additional damage. With an equipped Skullpiercer, the 30-30 Repeater is an absolute beast in medium to long-range fights in Season 15, especially in the Broken Moon map.

After two being in the Care Package for two consecutive Seasons, Volt finally to the ground floor loot once again in Season 14. Volt has always been a popular weapon of choice for everyone because of its easy usability and damage-dealing capacity.

Unlike all the other weapons in the game, this SMG can take both light and heavy ammo types. As a result, this weapon is extremely flexible at all stages of a game. Following its release, it quickly cemented itself in the new weapon meta replacing the R-99.

Respawn removed the Barrel Stabilizer attachment from Spitfire to increase the recoil of this weapon in Season 13. However, this gun is a heavy hitter even without the Barrel Stabilizers. In Season 15, Respawn made a change to Spitfire.

Veteran Apex Legends players were filled with joy as soon as they saw the season 7 battle pass trailer featuring R-99 skin. In Season 15 update, R-99 received an insignificant buff with its ammo magazine. Nonetheless, it is still a B-Tier weapon in Season 15 meta.

After two consecutive nerfs, Respawn finally gave this weapon a well-deserved buff in Season 15. L-Star currently has a lower recoil at the beginning of the pattern, as well as an animation adjustment for better timings. So, it has been promoted from a C-Tier weapon to a B-Tier weapon.

Prowler was demoted from the care package status and turned back into a ground weapon with only burst firing mode in season 10. And it is left completely unchanged in season 15, meaning this weapon is now just average.

The Alternator once again made a return to the regular loot pool. As a result, this weapon lost the Disruptor Rounds hop-up, meaning it has become a placeholder for the R99 and the R-301. In the current meta in season 14, this weapon still packs a punch at the early stages of a game.

Triple Take has been nerfed slightly back in the Season 12 update. To make this weapon fall in line with other weapons in its class, Respawn eliminated the range it retained from its days as a sniper.

Hemlok was a sleeper hit in season 6. Especially the single fire mode was performing pretty consistently alongside the burst fire mode. Devs decided to dial back some of its capability to make it less powerful in burst fire mode. This weapon saw no real change in the new Season 15 update, as it was in a good place in terms of usage.

As the Hammerpoint Rounds are still here, P2020 is still in the limelight. Similar to the RE45, the absence of the hop-up will make this weapon unusable in late-game scenarios. Although if you can manage to find one for your P2020, it can deal massive damage to enemies without shields.

Halo has always had several iconic weapons, and Halo Infinite shakes things up by adding a new weapon class. Traditionally, ballistic weapons did more damage against health and plasma was more potent against shields, but now shock weapons such as the Shock Rifle and Disruptor add a new dimension to combat. Unfortunately, these weapons haven't proven to be as memorable or useful as their forebearers. A_Raven_Of_Many_Hats lists several issues with these new weapons, including that "They fulfill a role plasma weapons already filled, don't make sense for Brutes and look hideous and clash with the rest of the game's aesthetic". Most notably, they function similarly to plasma weapons that have been removed from the game. Several users have also agreed that their visual style doesn't match the Brutes that use them. 2ff7e9595c
