Soon viewers south of the border will also be getting a taste ofthe trailer park's humour. BBC America will begin airing thefirst season of Trailer Park Boys in the United States onThursday, April 15.
Despite his contempt for the citizens of Sunnyvale, even Mr Lahey is an integral part of the community. In season two, Mr Lahey drunkenly makes a speech in his bid for reelection as trailer park supervisor:
A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Dunsworth participated in his local acting community and then signed on to Trailer Park Boys in 2001. The series followed the misadventures of a group of trailer park residents in the fictitious Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Dunsworth played the park supervisor Jim Lahey, who was, more often than not, drunk while trying to stop the scheming of trailer park residents Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles.
Back at the park, the boys compile their orders and prepare to make the drops, but Lahey is watching, and Julian sends Bubbles to distract him. Lahey warns them about 'shit-winds' and Bubbles gets worried.
Recently out of jail and completely broke, Julian has a plan to get outrageously rich. However, he first has to deliver his product to Montreal where his rival Cyrus is waiting to close the deal. In the meantime, the government's plan to legalize marijuana threatens Ricky and his dope business, so he goes to Ottawa to take action against the impending bill. With Julian and Ricky on a road trip, Bubbles joins the pair with his own agenda - to go find the inheritance left for him by his long-lost parents. The trio runs into trouble when ex-park supervisor Jim Lahey and Randy go after the boys in hopes of making them rot in jail. Air Date : 18th-Apr-2014 Read More

Sometimes the hardest task was simply finding the right house, back in the days before cell phones and GPS systems. One snowy December evening, a call came from a new trailer park. On the phone, the mother said I couldn't miss their white trailer with a green wreath. When I arrived at the park, dozens of wreath-bedecked, white mobile homes twinkled below. Even the manager's white trailer, where I stopped to ask directions, sported a green wreath.
